Outside of work I try to spend as much time outdoors as Montréal weather will allow — hiking in the warm months, biking when the streets are dry, skiing through the long winter.

What keeps me coming back is the quiet of it — wide-open landscapes, light through trees, a river that hasn't quite decided where to go. I take a lot of photographs out there, mostly of birds, water, and whatever animal is willing to stand still long enough.
